SCHEDULE
Offered various weekends each month except during summer.
Be sure to call Rob Langsdorf (858/459-1726) or Raoul Ludwig (760/747-2871)
or email Rob at mctrob@yahoo.com
to sign up and to check on meeting dates & location (they are subject
to change) if you plan to join us on any of these construction outings.
I will be on site on most of the scheduled dates. Please contact me at
daniel.marks@worldnet.att.net
or at (619) 654-0636 if you are interested in this program for your Patrol
or for yourself. Note to adult leaders: This is a great program for you
as well, and Rob is an excellent instructor. Many participants couple
an overnight camp with the scheduled work done. Most sites are close to
Mataguay, and there is a lot of storm and fire damage to repair in the
Matagual Valley.
Eagle candidates: There are opportunities for Eagle projects on the Mataguay
Connector Trail, California Riding and Hiking Trail, and Pacific Crest
Trail.
Bring high desert-hiking clothing, water, work gloves, wide-brim hats,
and non-perishable foods. The work is demanding, but very rewarding. Rob
provides all the tools needed for trail building, as well as expert instructors.
Once you spend a day with this team, you’ll never cut another switchback
again!
